Your first step is to call the clinic on 01462 851414. They can just talk to you and offer advice if that is all you are looking for. If you would like to start the admission process by visiting the clinic and having a free assessment, without obligation to book, then that is also an option. Alternatively you might like to do a telephone assessment with a view to admission. If required, the clinic can arrange transport for you.

The Haynes Clinic – Alcohol help in Northampton

As The Haynes Clinic is local to people in the Northampton area, it is convenient for family members to visit you when you are in treatment. Visits are only on a Sunday between 1 and 5pm  and are not allowed on your first Sunday in treatment as the first weekend it is important for you to focus on settling into the rehab process and not to be distracted by outside concerns, including family needs.

However, from your second Sunday onward you can receive a family visit if you wish (your wishes take priority and some people decide they prefer not to be visited which is perfectly acceptable). If you do have a visit you are required to go out and about to get away from the clinic but must not go to what we refer to as ‘wet places’. (Places primarily for drinking ie pubs). Restaurants are acceptable (because they are primarily for eating) though if licensed it goes without saying that you must not drink alcohol. It is also an important ‘rule’ that you do not go home during your treatment as this will interfere with where you are mentally in the treatment process.

Again as Northampton is nearby geographically, it is possible for you to have a family counselling session during treatment if it is helpful for your treatment. This allows you and your family to communicate openly and clearly in a protected environment, to cover how you have been feeling, what needs to change and the best way forward for you as a family. Sometimes quite sensitive things can be covered in these sessions. It allows for important issues to be dealt with while you are in treatment and able to get the support you need to deal with them. Separate family counselling sessions can also be arranged if required.

The Clinic is also sufficiently close to your Northampton home for you to attend aftercare which is available for those who complete the 28 day programme for a year or more afterwards. This takes place each and every Friday from 9 – 4.30pm. It allows for you to continue to receive support for the issues you are facing in your everyday life as well as for you to meet up with the friends you have made in treatment.

So, if you are one of the c. 3000 people in Northampton and its surrounding area who has an alcohol problem and may need private rehab, then call the Haynes Clinic on 01462 851414
