Alcohol Help Milton Keynes

The clinic is a 12 Step addiction treatment centre near Milton Keynes which treats all forms of addiction. You will be surprised at how many people have a problem with addiction. Amongst the population of 230,000 people living in Milton Keynes (to say nothing of the surrounding area) there will be many hundreds – even thousands – who experience addiction problems with alcohol or other substances, that can lead to homelessness. Milton Keynes has an alarming increasing rate of homelessness.

Free from Addiction

Some will have overcome their problem and now be free of their addiction. Many others will still be struggling. It is a horrible experience to be an alcoholic or addict struggling with addiction: life revolves around getting the next drink or drug, you feel anxious and low and some people also struggle to eat and sleep. People with alcohol problems feel utterly miserable but also very defensive of their ‘habit’ especially if under criticism from other family members or friends.

The Haynes Clinic – Alcohol Help

When choosing a rehab clinic that is suitable for you or your family member, it is important to choose the right one rather than the nearest. However it is probable that The Haynes Clinic is one of the nearest anyway as it is 20 – 30 minutes away depending on what part of Milton Keynes you are living in. It is far enough away for the person requiring treatment not to be able to easily ‘escape’ home but close enough for it to be convenient for family visits and for the individual to attend aftercare which is offered each week on a Friday (this is available at no extra charge if you have completed a 28 day programme).

Alcohol Help near Milton Keynes

It is not too far from Milton Keynes for you to take advantage of the offer of a free assessment or just a visit to the clinic to find out more about what help is available. Directions from Milton Keynes are to leave the M1 at Junction 13, take the A421 towards Bedford, keeping on the A421 past the Bedford junction and then come off at the A600 heading towards Hitchin and Shefford. Go past the junctions for Haynes (because the Haynes Clinic is not actually in Haynes!) and head towards Shefford. Just before you get to Shefford you will see a turning to the right for Chicksands. Turn right down towards Chicksands, through the woods and before you get to the barrier at the military base, turn left under the brick archway (clock over the top) and The Haynes Clinic main centre is in the top righthand corner.

Please call to make an appointment if you are visiting: 01462 851414. In your assessment we will take some background and medical and drinking history (plus drug use if appropriate) as well as take other details to check you are suitable for treatment. We will explain the treatment programme and show you round the clinic, introducing you to other staff if you want to meet them at this stage.

Some people decide to book in straight away, others to reflect and decide at a later date. That is a personal choice. It is not too far back to Milton Keynes to go and collect your things ready for your stay and to get well!
